The time was 30 past 10 at night; both of them boarded different bus but headed on to the same destination. He could hear the vehicles whistling past him, there’s the screeching sound of the tankers passing by…..but nothing could deter his concentration……..the mind is all about the much awaited trip. There was also a peppy song played in his IPod at a low decibel…………

On August 15th 2009, first time in 20 yrs of friendship, we had cut birthday cake for Ashok aka Asky. It all started from here……...hooooooooooo…………….!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Just like the typical grown-ups----ashok, rama, santosh, srini, prakash & jibin……..ivanga ellarum tea kadaiku pakkama odhungunaanga […enna da yedho kariyira smell varudhu…..???!!!! :)…seri seri..]

All these comedians decided to have a bash in the evening…well, all were happy thinking that ashok will give his bday treat…….but ponadhuku aparama dhaan therinjadhu………..ivan oru sadhikaaran :)………….[kavuthutiyeda……..mind u ,,,,,, ur bday treat is still pending]

The place was decided and there were few more comedians who joined them @ Mayajaal.

From August 15th 2009 till September 18th 2009……there were 100’s of emails passed around………..even larry page/sergey brin of google and carol bartz of yahoo couldn’t bear these hundreds of mokkai mails that’s been passed around………:):)

……Google, Yahoo and Microsoft couldn’t believe that how on earth can there be a friendship bond that has extended to decades and how can these people still behave like kids after all these years.???!!

Finally, google did a google search J and cracked down the people involved in passing these funny mails :=> rama,rajesh,srini,arshad,ravishekar,roopesh,jaasim,dinesh,shivram,vamsi,vs.sriram,kamalshekar,prakash,venkatmahesh,lakshmiprasad,imthiaz,ashok,santosh,ramakanth,jibin.

Fed up with mokkai mails and with no other option but to handle these large volumed mails, google decided to pass on the threads to a new mail (after 100 mail threads)………close to 200 mails exchanged……….[naanga google yahoo microsoft……yaara irundhaalum therika viduvom…….hahahhahahahaha :):)]

Itinerary

Sept 18th 2009 (Friday)
Everyone assemble at Rajesh's house in Alwarthirunagar at 10.30 AM >< (Sharp) >< 10.30am to 10.45am => mokkai at rajeshs house
10.50am => start to Egmore railway station
12 noon => reach egmore
12.15pm => DAV (Devi Academy, Valasaravakkam) comedians board the train
12.25PM => Train (Vaighai express) departs from Egmore station to Madurai.
12.25 pm -- 8.15pm => people in the train will have the treat to see the greatest comedians of all time.......with loads of aruvai, mokkai, kirku pecchu, galatta, thanni, cigi etc. [thaaaanga mudilada saaaamiiiiiiii..!!!!!!!!!]
8.15pm => smile on the peoples face in the train - for obvious reasons - relieved from all mokkais (yappaaa....!!!!) ......train reaches madurai (all kirukans will stretch out after the heavy booze)
by 9 PM => finish dinner
9.15pm => start off to kodai hill thro local cabs/bus

by 12 midnight => reach Spring Valley Hotel (3ppl in each room - 3 rooms)
12 to 6 am => again "start the music" - mokkkkkkkaaaiiiiiiiis - people who wants to sleep can do so but only IF U CAN.

Sept 19th (Saturday)
7am => Wake up alarm - no one can sleep after this as there will b an automatic sprinkler of spine chilling cold water..................on to ur _________ (bed da yappa.....niyum un thinkingum.......)
8 am - 8.30 am=> have dinner (for those who wud b boozin continuously) and breakfast for humans.
9 am - till we reach spring valley hotel at night => god knows what the agenda is...!!!!!! (will chk out for trekking)

Sept 20th (Sunday)
repeat = sept 19th 7am to 9am
9 am => chk-out the rooms at spring valley. drop luggages at a dedicated place (for us) in the hotel.
3.30 pm => wind off all _________!!!!!!!!!!! from spring valley
4 pm => leave kodai hills
8.30 pm => chennai guys board KPN and Bang guys board ABT.

Sept 21st (Monday)
assemble at Arshads house for Ramzan.........(arshad plz invite us :D:D:D)
after food................aaala vidungada saaaamiyoooooo...!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Note: all comedians are requested to carry the following:
· Print out of the tickets (inc..return journey ticket)
· One photo ID proof (wch cud assist u in proving things if caught in a dastardly act)
paste, SOAP & TOOTH BRUSH (carry this no matter even if u r not habituated), powder, oil, comb and fair and lovely (fr ppl who still use this..plz continue ....dont stop), TOWEL
· pack 2-3 pairs of dresses (this strictly includes ur inner wear also - now that this is clearly mentioned do not forget and ask for other pplz _____), shorts, shoes (in case of trekking), CAMERA, First aid kit.

Lets have a safe colourfulll wonderfulllllllll and a lively memorable trip............hurrayyyyyyyyy!!!!!!!!!

On September 17th @ 5 AM, the alarm rang……lala laaa la laaaa la laaaa aa laaaa la laaa la [ithu enna SA.Rajkumar tunea???!! :)]………….both of them got down at koyembedu @ headed to their respective home……

It was September 18th 2009 – The BS – Day…..[yes….we don’t call it as the D-Day but it’s the BS-Day ….Bull S*** day :):)]

Finally with many so called (see itinerary) people dropping out at the last moment……the best 9 mokkai comedians were chosen: santosh, vs.sriram, rama, ravishekar, srini, rajesh, ashok, jibin, venkatmahesh :):):)

With so many calls made from morning 7 till 11 AM, there was mobile signal traffic from porur-valasaravakkam-alwarthirunagar => reason??!!! Obviously the comedians have started to discuss about the travel plan…….. :):)

Ø Paruthiveeran ashok & Ooma kottan rama – took a call taxi and headed towards the station from porur.
Ø Kusumbu mama venkat, photo paithiyam jibin and rendu kaal otaga poochi santosh - took a call taxi and headed towards the station from Valasaravakkam.
Ø Amool baby rajesh, Tubai sheikh Ravishekar, Domaangu Sriram and samsaaram visu - srini - took a call taxi and headed towards the station from alwarthirunagar. .[ivanga ellorum correcta plan pannadha ninaipu……busa autova call taxia all confusion……kadasila late aayuduchu, vere vazhi illainu call taxi :):)]

@ 12 noon Egmore station:

Domaangu & Tubai Sheikh : dai….u guys said u forgot the station and went to Central nu…????!!!!!
Otaga poochi, photo paithiyam & Kusumbu mama : poy andha station platform to indha station platform alandhu paar……idhudhaan centre…central……hahahha :):)[……..kadavuleeeee……..aarambichitaangayya…………. aarambichitaangayya :):)]

Amool baby & samsaram visu came with Hotchips biryani, chips, wonder cake wonder cake….milka milka wonder cake and few biscuits……..
Thanni thotti gaja and ooma kottan asusual reached station at the last minute [ gajaaku periya alaypayudhe madhavnu ninaipu…………adingu time aagudhu train kulle yeruda….. :):)

Just before the train started at 12.25 PM………..
Photopaithiyam started behaving weird……got down from the train………& all other 8 comedians followed………..

sharp 12.25 PM the train departed…….it was vaighai EXPRESS…….. [ but neenga odina, indha expressai beat adichidalaam……….chumma perudhaan AC & Express…..idhu verum maatu vandi :)]

Though the booked seats of the comedians were scattered at diff places, by 1pm our event manager Mr. Domaangu had made all arrangements & made sure that all mokkais were seated next to each other……..[ ….yenda indha thappa panne…..!!!!!! :)]

Thanks to amool baby, otaga poochi and samsaram visu who helped few ladies in shifting places by being a porter for few minutes :):)…….[…god bless u child…. :)]

By the time all were settled – cake, biscuits, chips were all missing – reason??!!! Photo paithiyam, Kusumbu mama and pithamagan (ashok on diet)…..ivanga ellatheyum gaali pannitaanga…… :):)

The only thing remaining was few small (rather tiny) pieces of biscuits, cake crumbs which the amool baby, Domaangu & tubai sheikh happily masticated […..ah ..ah…wait…don’t search for dictionary…..masticate means “to bite and grind with the teeth just like cow” :):)]

Oh…ya…..there was also veg biryani and thayir saadham…….. :):)[..yappa ooma kottan siripa paaru :)]
The co-passengers had a hearty laugh seeing the comedians performing live. […..even the best of all trains and flights doesn’t have such free show :):)]

Time was around 3pm:
Hot chips biryani and curd rice were also gulped………..time for cards……BLUFF

By 8.15PM………..reached vathalakundu…………….. :)

By 10PM
Most of the crew members had food and then had food. The first food is the food that needs to be had before the food. After the food everyone had food. Though there were few exceptions who did not have food before the food. But in the end we made sure everyone had food stomach full :):):)

All were astonished to see the hotel. it was huge and marvelous……

From 1 AM to 2.30AM:
Time for ethanol – nicotine – mineral water [ enna kodumai idhu…..thooonga vidaama …!!!]

2.30 AM to 6.30AM – nalla korrattai thookam :):):)

All the three rooms were like a bedlam with all comedians busy doing make ups :)

ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZooooooooMMMMMMMMM…headed towards HILL TOP restaurant……had a wonderful tasty breakfast……..
Everything was goin as per the plan (see itinerary)

…yes…..we went as per the above plan………:)
Round and round roamed around……..site seeing…..trekking, cycling, boating, hoarse riding […see picassa plzzzz….ada ivalavu photo eduthirukkom …..poy thayava seythu paarunga….. :)]

thro’ trekking, all comedians took their guts out in the mist and heavy rain and explored falls, caves & rocky terrain……. Every1 stopped at a kiosk near dolphin nose […..kannu mooku kaadhu ellam enge??!!! :)]
Chef de cuisine – venkat was courteous enough to make the grandma at the kiosk to take rest and took over as the master chef to make bread omlete and masala chai (::)
…wowwww…….sooper appu …..soooooper :)
[….sila per omlete saapidaama carrot saapitaanga…….ada kodiakanalil carrot famous pa…… :):)]

It was time to climb back after the bread omlette – chai…….side gappil thanni thotti gaja yedho oru tent/cave kulle ponaan…ange enna aacho……but thirimbi varumbodhu he was fine……. (::)
Amool baby was gasping for breathe……………ooma kottan climbing slowly………….amidst all this, photo paithiyam was happily taking snaps with photographer tubai sheikh and samsaram visu………..
…………rendu kaal otaga poochi thought he was fast enough and had reached his destination but only to see the photo paithiyam accompanying him in search of a good location for capturing moments…………..
…………….with all the comedians seriously trekking……domaangu was repairing his camera……..every time he took a pic……..it said ….” Data error”……….

……Domaangu says “photos can’t be saved but can be captured”……. [….god knows wt he meant..!!!]
……….ippo theridha….. ellarume loosungadhaan :):)
…..nalla velai we’ve got all the photos inspite of the data error….. (::)

Out for cycling, Kusumbu mama and gaja imitated few mallus who were cycling nearby, they sang us a beautiful mallu song (daddy…mummy…lala la laaaaaa…..(::)) dedicated to our Kodai galatta team…………in the end galatta team made them click a snap of all the comedians…………. [yaarayum vittu vetkaadheengada….!!!!! ]……
…………………...kusumbu mama was at his extreme when he took a cowboy hat from a nearby mallu and clicked again…….. [ ennapa ore mallu gumbal???!!!! Keralale yaarudhaan irukka aparam…??!!!:)]

In the Kodai lake, there was rendu kaal poochi, samsaram visu and amool baby pedaling the boat…………[ pakkathu boatla oru ponnu poga koodadhe………..thaaana boat andha pakkam poydum……ennada yaarum paarkulennu ninaicheengala??!!!!(::)]

Just before it started raining, all comedians went for a horse ride………….each one posing as if they had been jockeying all the way……………[ …dai kudhiraikkum vayasaachi…..ungalukkum vayasaachu………kalambu kalambu…po….po… :):)]

It was all fun frolic enjoyment with the weather so cold and beautifullllllll until the rain played spoilsport……….by 5.30 PM we all got into the Qualis and headed towards hotel

…dai rendu kaal otaga poochi………….ni dhaane adhuuuuuuuuuuu!!!!!????!!!! :)

By 12 midnight
…all comedians were tired and it was time for a cozy sleep….. :):)

September 20th
@ 6 AM
Photo paithiyam woke up all the crew members…..but pity all…..there was no hot water and electricity………….the entire comedians became serious for the first time J
….someone from the crew said..” viduda aadu maadu ellam enna kulikidhaaa???!!!!
….[…..indha gumball serious aaga chancee illai…. (::)..]

For all these inconvenience……………………the board of directors decided to sack the event manager – and on September 20th at 8AM ..Mr.Domaangu was sacked………dishooommmmm :)

Thank god by 8.30 AM we had electricity and hot water….(::)

By 9 AM
Every1 was ready for the photo shoot and for the last day performance…….
By 10 AM
Had breakfast and started for site seeing……..[…yenda site seeing site seeing nu solreenga…kodaikanalil ennathdhaan paartheenga ???!!!! ]

Both Chennai and Bangalore bus have already departed ----- no other option -------
All 9 comedians ran like hell ….[ just like the running race which we used to have in Rajarathnam stadium in school……ada ada…. (::)…..last minute boarding naale thrillu dhaanpa….. :)]

Warriors never get defeated……especially these comedians…………
ABT headed towards Bangalore and KPN towards Chennai……. (::)
